MEDICORE

IRIS-Q

As the artificial intelligence self-quarantine system, IRIS-Q System uses an infrared thermal imaging camera to prevent the spread of highly pathogenic infectious diseases such as COVID-19 or any pandemic. It uses the medial canthus on the left and right sides of a person’s face without any contact between the examiner and the patient. It is a device that predicts the temperature of the eardrum by artificial neural network learning and determines whether a person has a high fever. It is mainly used in airports and ports.

Advantages & Features

- Apply the results of clinical research conducted at the Korean Thermal Data Center based on international standards for
the first time in Korea
- If the inner canthus is measured by artificial neural network learning, the tympanic membrane temperature is predicted.
- Apply temperature compensation algorithm that reflects changes in surrounding temperature at airports and ports.
- Automatic language recognition and voice support through passport/ID scan (support 12 languages)
- Automatic identification function for those who get high fever
- Voice guidance function
- Self-test is possible so that visitors can measure themselves, and the test will be completed within 1~2 seconds
(preventing the secondary infection of the examiner)
- Central Quarantine Monitoring System between devices (one person can control the entire system)
- Save and transmit measured information in the database
- Alarm function when a person with high fever appears (connected to central control system)

ISO/TR 13154, the international standard for target area and methods for screening people with high fever in the Korean Thermal Ddata Center designated by the National Agency for Technology and Standards A temperature standard for screening people with high fever was created in accordance with the measurement guidelines (based on the 2nd edition in 2017), and Medicore is a participating organization in the Korean Thermal Data Center. The equipment was developed by applying the temperature standard for screening people with high fever.

Certificate of National Reference Standard Data Center and Korean Thermal Data Center

It is a system in which the National Agency for Technology and Standards scientifically analyzes and evaluates the accuracy and reliability of measured data and information in each field every five years.
In the field of fever testing(quarantine), a Korean Thermal Data Center has been designated at the National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital to make national standards. Below are the results of the research registered as national standards.

1. Preparation of Reference Standard Temperature Table for Normal People
This is the result of a clinical study using an infrared thermal imaging camera to determine what the temperature of a specific part of a normal person is at room temperature and how much the symmetrical temperature difference between left and right is normal.

2. Temperature Standards to Identify Patients with High Fever
- Developed it according to International Standard ISO/TR13154:2017
- Study on the correlation between tympanic membrane temperature and inner canthus/forehead temperature according to
external temperature changes
